I have to admit I was a bit apprehensive about having Ms. Stariha back because I heard that she is a lot tougher than what our 2nd Tri class was used to. However, I feel that I understand "To The Virgins" and "His Coy Mistress" a lot better than any of the poems/sonnets we read in part A. I also (yes this is a bit embarrassing to admit) truly enjoyed Friday's discussion! I'm actually looking forward to the rest of this class! (minus the Weathering Heights bit- I tried to read that once and it ended up with me giving up after spending a week trying to get through the first chapter)
P.S. If anyone out there feels like getting some culture this weekend Hart High School is performing Cinderella at 7pm tonight! I heard it's supposed to be really good.
yeah, cause thats just what I need is a little more culture in my life...haha. But yea, I think I have a pretty good grasp on those two readings.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree. I think that its a lot easier to get your thoughts out too. Like the classroom as whole is more personable. That could just be me.
ReplyDeleteI'm also really happy that Ms. Stariha is back. I understand her teaching and lectures a lot better than Ms. K's. Ms. K was good, don't get me wrong, but I just feel like I learn more from Ms. Stariha.
ReplyDeleteI agree Em. I feel like the class is a lot more personable and it's easier to share your opinion. And yes, Kaitlyn I think I'm going to learn a lot more this tri!
ReplyDeleteIm going! Carpe Diem! Go to the Play!
ReplyDeleteWell the new poems should be easier to understand they're a whole century closer to modern English!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Weathering Heights??? Isn't it Wuthering Heights?
Yes, Maddie it's Wuthering Heights...oops! (:
