I Am Lost with Paradise Lost
After reading the the story I tried to remember what it was about and tried to find the message that it was trying to give the reader but I felt like I had just read the words to myself and didn't catch what most of the words were actually saying. I did understand that it was in a dialog form were the heavens and Satan were talking but it never really "clicked" for me as to what they were discussing. At first I thought that it would make sense that Satan would promote evil and the heaven would promote good, but towards the end of the story the Archangel says "better to rein in hell than to serve in heaven," this just made me more confused.

Unfortunately I waited until now to start that... I didn't anticipate 9 pages. Yikes!
ReplyDeleteYeah it wasn't the most fun to read, in part because I didn't understand much of it and also because it was super long
ReplyDeleteParadise Lost is quite heavy... but Freddy, I think you are picking out an interesting aspect of the character Satan. We will be discussing his ambition and motivation in class, but I really feel it paints evil in a different light!
