Stupid Question
Ok so when do you used the word entitled and when do you use just titled like
The book was titled ...
The book was entitled...
It is confusing me and its also distracting me in the back of my mind!
Well, I think that entitled is when someone is entitled to something. Like Maddie is class president therefore she is entitled to a cupcake. Okay really bad example, but it's basically when something belongs to someone because of their rank, status, hard work, etc. Or if your using it with a book it would be like Charlotte Bronte entitled her book Jane Eyre.
I think this is how it goes-
ReplyDeleteThe book entitled...
The book was titled... (in which case I think 'called' sounds better)
well thanks your such a smart one!! :)
