Various Thoughts

Alright, alright, so better late then never right? This is my blog post of Various Subjects and my fingers are crossed that stariha said we could do it until the end of break- yeah, Im pretty sure she did. The part that I wanted to talk about was: "If a man would register all his opinions upon love, religion, learning, ect beginning from his youth, and so go on to old age, what a bundle of inconsistencies and contradictions would appear at last" I loved this part for so many reasons, first of all I love how it begins to touch on the depth of the human mind. In reality we have so much inside our heads, if you think about it all of the great man made things in this world were in fact man made. Once oh so long ago they stemmed from the thoughts that were drifting through one fellows brain. But this part doesnt only touch on the fact that they are there but also upon the fact that we have opinions about them. Caught in this world there are many different routes you can take, many different roles you can occupy, and many different views on life you might have. These all equate to opinions. Opinions on EVERYTHING; petty or non-petty. But the truth is our heads are not a place of nothingness, they aren't places that should taught to only memorize and repeat but instead they need to be nourished to think, nourished to imagine and nourished to come up with the innovation of tomorrow. The last part of this little section is what strikes me hardest. "inconsistencies and contradictions". This part is where the most truth lies. The idea that our identity is no more then a cluster of questions seems ridiculous; but its the truth. If we are human enough to realize we can be wrong, then we are human enough to have our opinions change and human enough to question our own opinions. Lets face it, we are all human.
