Goodbye 18th Century :(
Half way through the week and it seems like I've made enough dumb mistakes for two whole weeks already :( To Top it off we are ending what has been my favorite time period covered yet. I loved the 18th century. The sarcasm was soooo up my alley, in case you haven't noticed. Favorite piece so far was defiantly Swift's "A Modest Proposal", it was hilarious! Mrs. Stariha totally called it too. She handed me the packet and told me she thought I was going to love it. I was doubtful, because it seemed to have a lot of pages, and that's usually something that makes me NOT like things, but it was so good. The Various Thoughts were good too. I'm terribly sad to see the wonderful satire and logic of the enlightenment go. Stariha says to give the Romantic Age a chance, maybe I just might like it. She's been right before obviously, so.....I guess I will go into the Romantic (goodness, it's such a terrible word isn't it?) Era tentatively, but hopeful. Trust in Stariha right? Bye 18th Century, you will be sorely missed :(

Laura...
ReplyDeleteI just have to say that I love your blog posts
They always are good
I like the way you talk (your dialect and such)
:)
I'll miss the satire as well! I would, however, care to point out that someone suggested that you would like a piece of literature that involve canibalism. This concerns me.
