Donne Sonnet 10

Hey everybody you should help me out here!

I missed the day we discussed Donne and sonnet 10 has me wondering a few things and looking over some of my friends notes aren't helping in some areas.
-What 2 things is Donne comparing in this sonnet?
-How is it a Metaphor?
-Just give me some general points!

  2. Ok, I understood that death was compared to only a bully. Death was degraded to something that was not as strong or scary as death has been known for before. Death is also compared to drugs (opium), because some drugs can put people to sleep as well if not better the death can. I understood that this is an example of metaphysical conceit because death is not seen as being the end of life, as it once used to be, but as the beginning of the afterlife.
