Linton
When Linton comes into the book things go a little bit werid. He's so sickly and very weak. I would of thought that he would of had some traits of his father, but he's just like his mother. He seem like a little whiny kid that I would hit. Also he's kind of a snot to Hareton when Catherine comes around. Does he really love Cathy or does Hareton? They are so confusing sometimes. Does Cathy love Linton or does she love Hareton? Maybe she is just like her mother and doesn't know who to pick. It's not nice to play with their hearts like that.

That's funny Grace... I always want to hit Linton too! I don't know if Linton knows how to love... it seems he is manipulated into using it by his father. As far as Cathy, perhaps she loves too generously and misguidedly (ironically it is kind of like her mother). It seems just like with the first generation of Wuthering Heights, that the confusing triangle of love happens. Hareton replaces Heathcliff, Linton replaces Edgar, and Cathy replaces Catherine. Let's see if history repeats itself with the ending of the book.
ReplyDeleteyead linton is a weird character i'm not really sure of his intentions.
ReplyDeleteI've read on in the reading and well it may seem mean and all but Linton is dead and I don't really care. The wasy that he blames Cathy for everything and how he belives his father no matter what. It makes me really mad. I'm rooting for Hareton!
