Is there hope?
I believe that in the end, Lockwood will help the Earnshaw/Linton family come together and be as one. He will break the ice that surrounds the atmosphere and it won't be so awkward anymore. It seems as if this is a rather hard task and I'm not so sure if he can complete it alone. He is an outsider and all he knows about the family is what Nelly tells him through her stories.

I like the idea of the family unity coming out of everything in the end Syd... you are picking up on the theme of unrest in these two families (kid of like Romeo and Juliet!).
