I never realized how songs could have so much meaning behind them, and even though people say "rap" or "hip hop" is ridiculous, there can be songs that have much meaning behind them and are very intelligent and satirical and can show a lot of societal issues we have in our world today and how we all left life fly by and we can't wait for this, or can't wait for that.. and it just really is amazing if you sit back and listen to lyrics and make out what there referring to and the metaphores they use to compare different relations and see how ridiculous the world is today, and how you have to make time for everything and how techonologically advanced the world is and it is taking over the world and in reality making us lazier and dumbing us down and makes us rely on so much.

yeah i know now i look at every dong different haha i feel like such a nerd but its so weird how people probably unconsicously make social commentary in their modern day "literature"
ReplyDeleteYeah I never really realized how musicians relate their songs to social issues until now. Before, I would hear the song and like it but not really pay that much attention.
