Connections
So I have just remembered that I need to blog about the connections between Wuthering Heights and those to poems. I believe the connections is the gloom that seems to be like a heavy fog is surrounding the atmosphere in all three works. In Wuthering Heights its the torment of the two lovers who have fate against them, and the death that destroys Heathcliff's life. In the poem with the little bird it is the suppression of hope, that something good could happen. (i cant remember the third poem so i will look that up once i get to my room) In both these two works though hope does shine through in small increments in Wuthering Heights when Catherine and Heathcliff are together for brief periods and when Cathy grows into a woman, and in the poem the thrush singing his song through the gloom. So that was a pretty sad connection but ohh well its all i got at the moment!!!
