Welcome to the continued exploration of British Literature as the class explores the 18th century through the Modern Period of British literary history.

The Machine Stops
In the story I'm reading for part three the world has gone to an underground utopia where everything in controlled by "the machine". So far the story is very interesting but one thing in particular made me think. A lecturer in the society tells his listeners to not listen to what he has to say about a subject but what someone else thought about someone else thought about someone else thought about what some one said about the original subject. I'm sure that got a little confusing but it's a lot like what we do in the second part of our research projects. We are writing about what someone wrote about about the original subject. The lecturer believes that each generation after us will be better off because they know what we think about what someone else thinks. "And in time there will come a generation that had got beyond facts, beyond impressions, a generation absolutely colourless, a generation seraphically free From taint of personality, which will see the [subject] not as it happened, nor as they would like it to have happened, but as it would have happened, had it taken place in the days of the Machine." I'm not sure what to think about this idea. I don't think I like it.
Bright Shining Moment...A Darkling Thrush if You Will
I didn't mind this test. Multiple guess kick my butt, but WHAT ELSE IS NEW? right? The multiple choice always drop kick my in the face. It's kind of funny because I LOVE the history, I think its the best part of the section. Its kinda awesome how everything fits together and the history we know is enhanced by the stuff we learn in this class. But the funny part is that I sit next to Miss Sterken who DREADS the history. With every fiber of her being she loathes it. We're just opposites. So other than that killer multiple choice (there were quite a few weren't there) I actually didn't mind this one :) Mrs. Stariha this blog ppost is the Darkling Thrush in this dark blog.
This May Make You Smile
I agree with everyone one hundred percent on this sucky test! I also did some pretty solid studying and was completely lost ... although i did forget to read the signalman :P oops lol But other than that i thought i was gonna do fairly well but like my essays were so short cause i didn't have enough time and it sucked!
ok to the funny part. i got to my house and stariha was there picking up her children, and i was holding Harper (the baby) and smelt something funny .... it was Harper! lol and she had to clean up a huge poopy Stinky diaper! :P So along with getting the pleasure of marking up our tests with all kinds of ink she also gets to clean up poop :P haha Just a good story kinda!! lol

oh jeez.
so the test today, not so good. i really was not prepared at all..and i'm super bummed about it. i guess my tradition of my test scores going up 10% every time has officially ended. shoot
sick
so i tried taking that test today, and i dont know if it was because i was sick, or because the test was so hard, but i think i had like hot flashes, cuz i was sweating so stinkin bad, and i thought i was gonna toss my cookies, lol, but ya, so hopefully tommorow will be a little better...
!!!!!!
So I didn't want to copy everyone and put my post title as "Test", so I put what would come after the word "Test" if I were to put that in the title. That is the least amount of confidence I have ever had after taking a test. I even studied and felt good about it beforehand. Just hope I did better than I thought. It might have been the heat, it might have been the long weekend... nonetheless, it was not good.
You know, I even studied for that test last night, partly because I don't have a facebook anymore to distract me. By the way, my life has actually gotten better without facebook...I don't think I'm going to get another one for a loooong time. It's just like how I gave up junk food for lent (and now for summer too); it's so much healthier for you without it gone. So, yeah, you would think without the junkfood and facebook, i would've aced that test. Yeah, wrong.
Research Project
Is anybody else completely stressed out about that research project? Are we going to talk about part 3 tomorrow, because I don't know what it is...is there even a part three? If there isn't then I would be sooo incredibly happy...like you don't even know. I don't mean to be negative but my whole memorial day weekend consisted of homework...except saturday night when I watched that justin bieber movie with friends (yes, you know who you are :p) but, yeah pretty much i would be estatic if this project consisted of only two parts...plus, it's less work for ms. stariha to grade!! And i know grading is a pain in the butt...or so my mom says.
Not nice.
That was by far the meanest test we have ever had!!! I don't remember talking about realism vs. romanticism at all so that completely screwed me over for that essay, and so many of the multiple choice options were the same!! I mean seriously? Sky and crypt vs. clouds and grave???? So not cool they're definitely the same thing!
Test
Holy cannoli.... I don't know if I didn't prepare as much as normal, if the test was a whole lot harder, or if my brain was just not with me in class today because I do not have a good feeling about this test. I hoping that I am be completely wrong about this... I guess I'll just have to wait and find out!
well then.
Everybody hates tests. So now that I am starting to know most of the history, I need to study the individual works so I can get the multiple choice right
call me cheap..
the only reason i'm posting twice is because it's not letting me comment so i guess i need to post what i have to say...but i was just wondering;
do we still get extra credit for the reading logs if we only have like some of the poems?
just wondering because it's not like i would be irresponsible and only have some ya know, but in case some goofball only did some, and forgot there book, and just remembered about the test, and tried to google some crap but only found a little bit.......do they still get any extra credit?
boy oh boy, sure glad im not that scallywagger..
okay i'm just diggin a hole here....but um hannah i agree with your post and kurt i think you should get extra credit for those sweet pics! lol
^ those are my two required "comments"

sooo last test tomorrow, that's soooo sad cuz i'm really going to miss all this studying........okay that wasn't sarcasm mrs. stariha it was just.......satire! yup! me making use of all the wonderful things i've learned over this trimester :)
anyyywayyyys...the blog won't let me comment? actually, i'm not even really sure it's gonna let me post this? cuz i've signed in like 9p8743502735027345092734975 times and it keeps telling me to choose a profile and sign in and what not. psssshhhhhh...get it together stariha cmon.

Last Test
Yeah, I just got done studying for our last Brit Lit test... I am so sick of studying, I feel like my head is going to explode! Hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend and studied it up tonight. I really had to look back on the history because it was hard for me to draw connections between it and the literature. Hopefully I will have some revelations about it while I sleep tonight!
Cheap Post
alright Here goes my "cheap post"...only because of what maddie said about blogging twice in a row;)....i would just like to say im am ready for this test so....bring it on...stariha...jk im not really sure how ready i am but just make it an easy one
My Post
One More Concern
Usually I don't like posting 2 posts in a row because I think it's a little cheap (no offense people but you know it's true) but this is somewhat important:
Do we have an extended response??
I've done well in the past but that's mainly due to the fact that I knew what it was going to be about before hand. If we have one this chapter I honestly have no idea what it would be about! Yikes!

Wasting Away Again In Studyville
As I was going through all the poems to study I was having a difficult time connecting them to the Victorian period. I read the intro of history first and the main points I grabbed were peace, prosperity, reform, conflicting ideas, and realism. None of the poems address these subjects very well! Take The Darking Thrush for example. What the heck is Hardy hoping will emerge in the good time of the Victorian age?!? Tomorrow's essay may be a little bit of a stretch for me.
I have to be missing something
Okay, in my reading log I have Splendor Falls, Crossing the Bar, Prospice, Signal Man, Darkling Thrush, Are you digging on my Grave, and Sonnet 43, but I have this feeling that I am missing one more poem or something, and with me missing a few days of class it is highly likely. It might just be me, but if you find the poem that I am missing I would appreciate it.
The first poem we read?
So Abby and myself were just discussing the poems, and we were talking about the one describing the picture?... ugh, I dont remember what it is called at this very moment, but anyways, I know it was kind of talking about elf land, and then how there home is engulfed in nature and it used a lot of imagery, but what was the point of it?
OH, and Mrs. Stariha, I was looking through blog posts from last week, and I dont think mine are on here?.. and like I know people even commented on them?... did they just disappear?.. orrr...?
just wondering.

Powerpoint
Hey my computer isn't letting me comment on my other post.
But I don't need the slideshow anymore because I found out Ms. Stariha did send it to us.
She sent it under the subject title "Reminders".
I sent it to Kaitlyn and Brianna and Mallory because they all said they needed it.
If for some reason you deleted the e-mail just comment and I'll send it to you.
I reccomend asking before 10:30 though. :)

sooo....
I just wanted to express my overwhelming joy for this test tomorrow.... I feel so prepared because we spent so much time on one long novel, and no time at all on the little works that make up 99.534543% of the multiple guess. (fyi bre, that is completely sarcasim).... I just hope that it all comes back to me at around 8:05 tomorrow morning.
Victorian Age Powerpoint
So does anyone have the Victorian Age powerpoint?
It's not in the supplementary materials on Ms. Stariha's page and I don't remember her e-mailing it to us.
I e-mailed her and asked her to send it to us but I have no clue when she is going to get it and I need time to study it.
So if anyone has it and would be so nice as to send it to me it would be greatly appreciated!
Please and thank you!

29 years 11months and 29 days
That's how long the speaker at the Memorial Day service after the parade was in the Army. I even paid attention. No one Fainted! We had no Crazy Catherines having a brain fever up in there or any of that. I'm working all weekend. I love it, I love work. However I do not love that it leaves me with minimal time to study. So I will now take this wonderful time that I have so little of to study for the lovely test we will have tomorrow :) and then I shall ACE it and rejoice in my good fortune that my hard work has paid off (God willing) Have fun all! (poems to come after the rejoicing)
3rd Part?
So for the 3rd part of this paper- are we just doing the same thing we did for Frankenstein but with our author's book? The whole picking a critical theory thing?
On a different note, Happy Memorial Day! It's sunny today too- that makes me happy!

memorial day
its going to be great. well at least i hope so. first i have to get up all early and junk to go parade-ing then almost pass out from the heat during a couple of speeches. then go to softball. then go out on our new boat. then study for a test. then rest for the start of an other week of school. well its almost done. but it should be a great day to say the least. a day to remember the ones who faught for this country. =]
A weird feeling
It feels a bit strange blogging on a Sunday knowing that tomorrow we don't have school, but is is kind of nice. Usually last minute blogging is a reminder that I have procrastinated all weekend but tonight I know that I don't have to stay up all night cramming because I still have all day tomorrow to study for that test. I am still not sure if that is a good or bad thing, I guess I will just leave that for my future self to decide.
Final Project?
So has starhia told us what the project we can do instead of the final exam is yet? and if we can still do partners for that is anyone looking for a partner? I'm taking applications starting monday.

Wanted Dead or Alive: DJ, Kody, and Freddy
So just noticed that all of you are not signed up for College English... seriously? Dead can be arranged... but I would prefer if you would come over my way breathing. FYI. Mrs Glerum is tough (ask Sarah Johnson), and I am working with Mr Stapel this summer on his curriculum for next year in Senior Comp B. :)

Plus, its the weekend, with memorial Day! Wow, I am happy. Except for that stupid test on Tuesday... but still, nothins gonna bring me down.

Just Checkin In
Well I decided to get on here and check in to see how everyone is doin.
Doesn't look too good lol.
But I know you guys can do it.
This is really weird for me but I have to say I haven't stressed out at all about this paper.
I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. :S
I've been pretty laid back.
I hope its not so much that I do bad on my paper though.
I'm workin on it currently and so far so good.
AND I'M NOT EVEN TIRED YET!
It's a record!
Stay awake Kaitlin!
Alright I'm done.
Anyways, keep your chins up everyone!
You can do it!

2nd checkpoint....2/3 done!!!
Well I just summarized two critical essays, but I kinda feel like since I'm so paranoid with plagorizing and what not that like I have huge chunks in quotation marks just because I wanna summarize what they said but I don't wanna get blamed for plajorizing so I just kindof shove it in quotation marks...yeaaa...idk lol but I'm not quite sure the summarys are top notch or even a fraction of what they should be but hey it's the effor that counts..I'm hoping Mrs. Stariha you'll look at them and tell me what to fix on the first two parts before it's finally due..or at least part 2!! But annnywayyyys, I'm excited to see the Wuthering Heights projects tomorrow, I love when we do projects on the material cuz it helps me understand soo much better. I spelled plagorizing two different ways up there...is it with a G or a J? YAY friday tomorrow!!! :D
Can. Not. Focus.
I'm trying to finish the critial essay summaries and I just can't get anything done! Its so frustrating! So close yet so far away.
PROJECTS smell like BEEF and CHEESE!
So I USUALLY don't mind doing these writings and projects, but I feel like I have been sitting in this chair in front of this laptop for forever. I'm sick of clicking on a page and it not being legit or just a bunch of useless information. I want to find what I want and when I want it. I wish that Wuthering Heights wasn't so complex, even though I like the complexity... I wish that it was a little bit simpler. So yeah... instead of working hard I decided to vent... but... Ms. Stariha, I know how much you hate that so....
I'll say something that I'm happy about....
I am happy that....
(wow, this is harder than I thought...)
.....
OH! I am happy that the bird didn't die when it hit the window in class the other day. THERE :D
Thanks
My computer is being weird and making it super hard to post comments so I will just post this post. Thanks for the heads up Sarah and I guess that means I need to get to work, and maybe get to school early tomorrow to explain some things...
EVERYONE!! Read This(:
So I just ran into Ms. Stariha at Wesco and I remembered that Freddy had posted a question on the blog. (are our papers due in class or anytime tomorrow?) So I asked and she told me to post that they are DUE IN CLASS TOMORROW.
Friday means Friday
OK, this second checkpoint is due tomorrow, but is that tomorrow for class or just anytime tomorrow? I am asking because I forgot half of my essays on the school H drive and now I am not sure what I am going to do. I guess I will do what I can with what I have and see how it goes tomorrow.
Kody is dumb.
Sooo I realized that I shouldn't be that worried about getting a good grade on my Wuthering Heights project because if she grades mine against Kody's, I will easily get 100%. lol
But yeah I'm doing the Soundtrack and at first I thought I wouldn't be able to find many songs that could relate but once I started looking, I found them all super quick. yay! :)

Blog Troubles?
Problems, the blog isn't letting me comment on other people's posts. It says that I need to select a profile even when I'm already signed in, and then it signs me up as an anonymous person, creepy much?? GRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
one more day maybe
I don't know how you guys are doing on the optional Wuthering Heights project, but I am kind of at the point where I don't know if I want to continue with the idea that I am thinking of and hurriedly put it together for Friday along with the checkpoint two, or just not do it at all and just concentrate on the research paper. Either way it would be really nice if Mrs. Stariha could possibly give us one more day to work on them and that way we can spend more time on Friday studying for the test Tuesday too. It feels like it has been forever since we took that last test so it would be nice if we took that extra time to go over everything together in class. I guess this is just me begging for more time because it has been one the hardest aspects of this class to manage in my opinion.
summer...are you near?
So I started doing a critical essay summary, it's not so bad. I think I'm going to finish up the rest tomorrow except summarizing that 18-pager is going to suck! I'm probably going to brush the key points and talk about the intent of the essay and then go back and put more detail into it later when the whole things due. But I'm glad the exam is an option, I'll have to see what the project/essays are to decide, I'm leaning toward project though because the standards are probably going to be sky high for those essays. Soooo Tonya & I helped that bird fly again today! We named her sunshine :)
Just gotta push through these next like 2 1/2 weeks and then I'll be stress-free!
I'm also kindof nervous about the plagorizing thing because not necessarily in my Frankenstein paper, or even papers in this class, I feel like I don't give enough credit when using research to write papers and so that kinda makes me worry that I may be guilty of this at some points in my history of literature classes..I'm definitely going to be more careful now!

1/3 of the Way
I just finished my first essay summary and I'm not entirely sure it's what Ms. Stariha wants. Honestly, its not too bad and I'm a little happy with it myself BUT I think I used too many quotes from the essay. I'm having a hard time displaying the claims without plagiarizing (I'm being extremely careful here after the talk we got today which is why I have so many quotes) or stating the author of the essays name too many times. I suppose I'll just have to wait and see what she says but I'm hoping its OK.
Linton :P
I'm not sure why but Linton (Isabella and Heathcliff's son) bugs the living crap out of me!! More than any other character in the book! Seriously, how selfish can you get?? I get that Heathcliff scared the crap out of him and threatened him and what not, but still couldn't he get his head out of his rear end long enough to realize that Cathy was the only one who genuinely cared about him and loved him? But no, he'd rather sit there and suck on his little sugar candy while Cathy was locked in a room with a tyrant forbidding her freedom. And when Cathy nudged the chair and he went into a tizzy about her "abusing" him, and she left and then he fell out of his chair and basically threw a hissy fit. Just to let all of you boys out there know, being a whiny little brat, is by no means the way to a girl's heart.
I'm out of the loop!
Help me here:
1) Someone said Starhia made something else optional besides the wuthering heights project...what???
2) Have I missed anything of importance while puking my guts out?
3) Have you guys missed me? Never mind I already know the answer to that one!
4) What have we been disscussing regarding Wuthering Heights? I finished the book so we're all good there but is there any key elements that I might be in the dark about?

Ms. Stariha and her Great Ideas!
I actually mean it this time, no sarcasim intended... I really like Ms. Stariha's idea to make the exam a choice. I think I'm definitely doing the project part because I am getting hand cramps just thinking about any more essays. So yea, thank you little birdie for putting Ms. Stariha in a good mood. haha

Christian Deen
He is a mean mean person. Hahah Kidding. Kinda... (: I usually do group/partner projects with Christian. In Spanish we did a sports broadcast and I wanted to do it on juggling. Christian said no and that we had to do it on a real sport. So we are doing our Wuthering Heights project together. We are doing the alphabet book and I had the perfect way to incorporate juggling. But once again. No. I cant make the project fun. Christian gets to pick it. Heck I even had Sesame Street on every page. It would have been awesome and still fallowed the rubric. But NO!. Oh well. Either way we will get a good grade. I just wanted to let everyone know if you want to do a project with juggling involved, don't be Christian's partner. You wont get to use juggling. Ever. haha Maybe I should pick something other then juggling next time? Nah. (:
The Problem With 20 Page Essays...
So far I've only found one essay less than 16 pages long. After searching all day in class I finally just decided I was going to have to deal with it and hunker down for some intense reading. However, it is easy said then done. I am no only half way through a 21 pager and have to admit I've only grasped a portion of what I was reading. The writing shoots a little above my head and there is so much time to simple zone out. I do think this essay will help but I was hoping I might be able to use it in both of my essays as sources. Please Stariha? Take pity on me!
~ :) sUpRiSe !!!!! ~
YAY so today I found out I got an A- on my critical analysis essay!!! I'm so happy with it I mean there is always room for improvement but I'm just ecstatic that i didn't fail the paper altogether!! YAY lol may be the best paper Ive ever written! ...ok its easy the best paper, but I hope I can do it again with this HUGE research paper!!! :)
CD for big ears only?
So you all know I don't curse or swear or cuss or use fowl language or whatever you want to call it. But I'm making a Wuthering Heights CD and some of the songs I want to use do. I know you can find clean versions of them but I already have normal ones. Is it okay if my CD has a curse word here there or everywhere? No one in class has to hear it. It can just be Stariha? It that acceptable?

Back to the Book
While reading over the weekend I realized how sad it is that Cathy turned into a cold and somewhat shrewed person! I really can't blame her because her life pretty much sucks but I realized the light hearted fifteen/sixteen year old is completely different from the Cathy we are first introduced too. Maybe I'm remembering this all wrong and I'd like to go back and reread when Lockwood first came to Wuthing Heights but right now I'm trying to finish the book! I really hope things start to look up for Cathy at some point. Even though she is a bit snotty I can't help but feel bad!
It did help!
So the time in the computer lab today really helped me. I stumbled upon some questions that I probably would have just guessed the answer to and just go off in the wrong direction with, but sense we were in class I got everything cleared up. Plus, all of those researching sites made google look weak. I hope not a lot of you guys screwed around today because I want to be in there tomorrow too.
Random
So I was the 667th post on this blog...is that a bad omen? Does that mean that something bad will happen as a result to this blog because the number before this was 666? I wonder...guess we'll find out soon enough. Anyways I'm trying to get caught up on Wuthering Heights but I'm failing because I keep getting distracted by When Harry Met Sally, and Louis Armstrong's music..so good but its so good that it makes it impossible to pay attention to anything else.
confused.
so for the wuthering heights project..i'm doing the soundtrack thing and it says
"create a cd insert with appropriete artwork, artist info, dedication, and a booklet that includes lyrics and a paragraph for each song...blah, blah, blah.."
so..are we supposed to do like one of those things that are in the front of the cd case...? what is a cd insert?
Dance for the Sun
so Laura, this is for you- I discovered this pretty awesome Youtube video/song about Sun Salutations and it reminded of track, and yoga, and Ms. Stariha which led me to post this on this blog. For some reason this makes me really happy...but be warned it's a little bit strange and hippy-ish... :D

(: ~ ReSearch ~ :)
So thank you so much Stariha! Who'd a thunk you'd have to teach an 11th grade class how to research stuff. But honestly it was such a huge help and I would never of found anything ... ever google has always been good enough for me .... until now! haha
Also and I know I'm going to receive some hateful comments but I am ready to get going on this paper, for some reason im not worried, stressed, or freaked at all!! I found three essays today in the lab and am ready go get going on them. I'm sure that the examples Stariha has kindly written for us are going to pretty much be my guide and help me through it! and ... its bEaUtIfuL OUTSIDE!!! :)

?
so idk what really happened in class today..alright. i know a little bit. but it looks like the last couple of posts are happy..and not the usual complaining? nice! but thats besides the point..
uhm, does anyone wanna fill me in on what we did today? thanks a bunch:)
Thanks Ms. Stariha!
Thank you for the lab time Ms. Stariha! This has helped a lot...especially how we got to go over how to find the essays and what is a good critical essay. I feel like I can finish this project with a little bit less stress. Also, those examples are helping a bundle. However, I'm bummed that the AYF kids have to miss the quote/review day...so I'm going to post my quote later in the week!
Lovin' the Lab
I am really happy that Ms. Stariha gave us lab time and showed us how to find the essays! Es muy helpful! I am hoping to get part 2 done early this time so I have time to relax like Kody... I think I can blame my "non-stressed out ness" on the fact that I sit between the two most laid back people you could ever meet! haha
Project
I'm very glad that the Wuthering Heights project is optional. Even though I know I am going to do it, it takes a little bit of stress off knowing that it isn't required.
Yay for checkpoint 2! I found a couple good critical essays to use, even though they are long. The one that I think was written the best was 23 pages long. But at least I found some right.. ?

All the people on the street, I HATE YOU ALL!
That title is for Jen. I know that she will appreciate it. And Maddie will hate it. I hate just about everyone in this book in varying degrees. I hate Heathcliff because he's all bitter because he didn't have a father and he was poor, and then the girl he loved didn't marry him. Tough luck. Get over it. I hate Cathy because she's spoiled and two faced and kind of stupid. I hate Edgar because he's a wimp. I hate Isabella because she's naive and spoiled and she's blind to how people really are. I hate the narrator because he's a meat-head. I hate Nelly a little but I don't know why. I hate Hindley because he married a girl named Frances. I hate Joesph and Hareton because they talk in weird dialect. So that's how I hate everyone in this book in order.
poems and WH
Darkling thrush- there seems to be a silver lining in each piece of literature. in the poem it starts out gloomy then there is hope. they are related in that both have some sort of silver lining.
Digging on my grave- it talks about how no one is remembered after death. that people just move on with their lives. they are not related because heathcliff doesn't gorget about catherine.

So, as Im reading Im learning that I really dont like Heathcliff. To me in theory hes seems like a chararcter that I would fall in love with, but in reality, I dont like him at all. He is so selfish, all he can focus on is his own desires.. and even though he is in love with cathrine, he still wants it his way.. I dont know.. he just bothers me.
Bad Me :/
So I took the weekend away from brit lit ... im sorry I just had to take a break. I know this was probably a horrible thing to do but it was soo nice, no joke. Saturday I got to watch a lil kids soccer game and fall in love with Adam & Matt's moms lil puppy dog, watch movies, make crafts, and write letters, attend a graduation party and it was all so nice and relaxing!! :) Today I just vegged watched my bros soccer game (there is a story there) *see bottom lol - see my grandma eat a nice dinner and cry my eyes out watching the Ultimate gift!! Soo nice but this all means Monday with no track I'm gonna tear up the homework like crazyy!! :) so watch out!!!
Funny SUFF
* so at my bros soccer game this Oakridge kid was shoving like none other and so of course all the parents are yelling shoving and things of that sort. Well this kid lost the ball and got all mad. He turned around to face the sideline and started yelling, cursing, and flailing his arms around defiantly (at the parrents) and told some parent "you just think your cool cause your picking on a kid" lol bad choice of words I'd say, and then he turns around with ohh wait for it, gives the parrents (dun dun dun *drums) THE FINGER !!! lol it was quite comical this little hissy fit!! haha well I thought I outta share my fun story with this wonderful brit lit class!! :)

Connections
So I have just remembered that I need to blog about the connections between Wuthering Heights and those to poems. I believe the connections is the gloom that seems to be like a heavy fog is surrounding the atmosphere in all three works. In Wuthering Heights its the torment of the two lovers who have fate against them, and the death that destroys Heathcliff's life. In the poem with the little bird it is the suppression of hope, that something good could happen. (i cant remember the third poem so i will look that up once i get to my room) In both these two works though hope does shine through in small increments in Wuthering Heights when Catherine and Heathcliff are together for brief periods and when Cathy grows into a woman, and in the poem the thrush singing his song through the gloom. So that was a pretty sad connection but ohh well its all i got at the moment!!!
Wuthering Heights ---> Poems
Darkling Thrush:
Well in Darkling Thrush it starts out super gloomy but then a little bird sings a song for no reason at all to show us that there is hope. We may not see it but it is there and it will show itself sooner or later. I think this is related to Wuthering Heights because there are soooooo many bad things that keep happening, and as you're reading it, all you can think is that something good will have to happen. I keep seeing this tiny little sliver of light at the end of a tunnel that I am hoping I am getting closer too as the end of the book nears.
Digging on My Grave (I don't know the full title)
This poem is basically talking about how after you die, no one is going to remember you. Maybe at first but as time goes on you will be forgotten and life will go on without you. I don't think this is related to Wuthering Heights very well because so many people die but everyone is still remembered. Like Heathcliff always goes on and on about Catherine. And the book still talks about Isabella. And Hindley.

Heathcliff
So you know how we were talking about how Heathcliff is actually somewhat good deep down inside based on his first instincts?
Like when we were talking about how he caught Hareton when Hindlel dropped him off the balcony?
Well I found another example.
It's when Hindley and Isabella decide to lock him out for a few minutes and then he gets in and he and Hindley duke it out.
Hindley gets knocked out or hurt or something and Heathcliff automatically starts tending to him but then he was like: wait I don't have to do this, let the servants do this.
So I was just thinkin about that and decided to share that with you.
I keep thinking about it when I read all the nasty things Heathcliff does and I keep telling myself that maybe he isn't so bad but I just can't make myself believe it.
Heathcliff is just too evil.

Project
So im super glad the projects optional now, cuz i havent even thought about it yet...haha, just worried i'm forgetting something tommorow
Wuthering heights project
Well i went into this weekend thinking the project was required and i was getting really stressed but now its optional so im all good, I dont know why everyone complains so much on this blog.. do you think people feel bad for you?? because i know i dont give a darn and i just laugh at all you guys who complain lol
Wuthering Heights
I had some time on my hands this weekend so I read a lot of Wuthering Heights and I actually really like the book but I don't like how abruptly Emily Bronte describes some things such as death. A person will be alive and happy one minute then the next they are dead. I guess it is just the way that she writes but it makes it hard to read some times because you feel like you missed something along the line somewhere.
End of the World
Well its really to bad that the world didn't end yesturday. Because now we're all going have to finish the research project and take the final exam. :( Now i guess we'll just have to wait for 2012, but by then were all going to be out of this class so it won't matter because we will probably all die from heart attacks which were caused by increased blood pressure which was caused by high stress levels which came from too much work...lol
Heres some pics :)
Heres some pics :)

Time Well Spent?
So I decided to devote this weekend to homework....more specifically, Brit Lit homework.... more specifically Wuthering Heights reading and "optional" project. The question is, was that the right thing to work on? I mean, I guess I have all week to work on the research paper, but it sounds like everyone else did the opposite. I am 95% complete with my wuthering heights project, so I feel good about that though...
End of the Rope
I swore to myself I wouldn't write my next blog complaining but that may be a little difficult for me to do today. I feel the only thing I leave the classroom with is a stack of work to do. I can be engaged and optimistic when we're discussing things but once we're done I can't think about the reading anymore only the work. Today is especially bad. I have to rewrite my entire biography and have no clue where to start. The next section of my paper is going to suck too and I'll probably end up having to write it over like I did this one. On top of that I discovered we've been assigned absurd amounts of reading this week. Not even the thought of not having to do the Wuthering Heights project can lighten my mood.
Project
it has just come to my knowlege that the project is optional. i'm happy about it. i would love to say that i don't need the extra points... but i really do. i'll try to find something fun to do for this project. hopefully i'll get a good grade too.
Critical Essays?
Is anyone having any luck finding critical essays online? The only thing I can find are essays that I have to pay for? I really don't want to have to do this project AND spend money trying to complete it. I don't have an obscure author, Charlotte Bronte is fairly well known...Help Ms. Stariha!
Charlotte Bronte
So, Charlotte Bronte is Emily Bronte's sister. However, her book Jane Eyre, is a lot less morbid than Wuthering Heights. There's no abuse or evil gypsy men, only a mentally unstable, crazy lady hidden in the attic of Rochester's home! Jane Eyre is a lot more romantic, and quite interesting. The most interesting part of my research was once she published Jane Eyre. When Charlotte Bronte published her book it generated gossip because she published it anonymously. Some people speculated that it was written by a member of the Thackeray household. Charlotte Bronte didn't hear this gossip and dedicated the next edition to Thackeray himself. This caused scandal because Thackeray just happened to have a mentally unstable wife...which directly connected to the entire plot of Jane Eyre. Mr. Rochester's mentally unstable wife commits suicide and is most crazy.
However, this project is really killing me. I have procrastinated wayyy too much. Also, Ms. Stariha can you post your example? Please!!

The Darkling Thrush and Are you Digging on my Grave?
The Darkling Thrush:
The poet's world is filled with darkness and gloom until one, brave, little thrush flings his soul onto the world and fills it with hope. This is similar to the scene in Wuthering Heights when Catherine dies. Edgar's world is filled with sorrow as he watches Catherine suffer and fade away. Then, once Catherine is born and has grown into a child, she fills Edgar and Nelly's world with hope and life. Nelly exclaims, "The twelve years, following that dismal period were the happiest of my life" (185). Little Catherine's soul was flung in the world to replace the sorrowful gap left by Catherine's passing.
Are you Digging on my Grave?
This poem reflects that, while we may feel important and special while we live, we are nothing more than a grave and dust when we die. With the exception of Catherine, so far everyone who dies in Wuthering Heights has been promptly forgotten about. Usually, they get a sentence to say they passed, or were ill, and then bam! They're dead, never to be thought of again.

Virginia Woolf
I dont know if its just my author but these people from England seem to be really screwed up. Like how mental breakdowns can cause a person to take their own life. Glad to live in the U.S.? haha
yay!
alright, so i know i just posted a blog. but i just checkd my e-mail and saw that ms. stariha is making the wuthering heights project optional!
...but i think it sounds like a really fun project and i think that a lot of peoples grade's got brought up because of the last optional project, right?!
so i'm thinkin it would be a good idea to do it.

Joseph
so i'm not really sure why, but i was thinking about Joseph last night.
he just keeps popping up at random spots in the book..
and people seem to keep dying, and he's still alive...even though he's way older than all of them?
ahhh..idk? it makes me laugh.
You sit on a throne of lies...
In chapter XX (20) I wasnt sure how to feel about Nelly telling Linton a bunch of lies just to make him feel better. At first I thought that it was good cause she was making him feel better about having to leave but when Linton met Heathcliff I decided that it was just messed up. Heathcliff shows how much of a jerk he is when he tells Linton he doesnt love him and just wants him for an heir.

Stevie Smith
So my rough draft is.... ROUGH like rough enough to cut you!! I need to do a lot more on the analysing part of it but i hope its good enough for credit at least. I think that i just need to get to know my author a little better ya know get all up close and personal and then I will be able to write about her better!?! Yeahh lol
I also have found out that cheese puffs are not the ideal food choice when typing, just a heads up doesn't work the greatest!
Ohh yes and everyone has decided to post who their author is, so i will go with the flow, mines Stevie Smith (a woman) who is fascinated with death, slightly (rly) morbid, has strong opinions when it comes to the topic of feminism (I think), has an ambiguous sight when it comes to religion and is, as I believe a sad person inside, sad and alone. Her poems flow like nursery rhymes but their content is morbid. Well that's my summary of Stevie Smith hope you enjoyed it ...
if you took the time to read it cause this looks like a fairly long post (it wasn't supposed to be) but it turned out that way, and I know some of you just skip right over the longer posts!! nonsense!! but I will make it all colorful just for everyone now!
:) have a nice essay writing time and remember its a rough draft, but my meaning of rough draft may differ from lets say Stariha's umm drastically lol

Jenny Joseph
So I'm not doing this author ( obviously, I just posted who I'm doing ) but when I was looking for someone I was looking at her writings and she has a really famous poem called "Warning"...it's really like, interesting? I'm not sure, but it seemed like it'd be cool to analyze or if anyone just wants to check out the poem it's interesting! I was gonna do her but I mean cmon, the person I picked has my name AND she's italian! Couldn't be fate any more! lol :P
Christina Rossetti
I found a british writer who has the same name as me :)
I looked up some of her poems and stuff, and as I was researching her I found out alot about her rough life; so I'm thinking she will be interesting to analyze!:)
-summer couldn't come soon enough...-
since it's teacher appreciation week I might as well say
i appreciate you mrs. stariha :)
i mean dont get me wrong i'd definitely appreciate you alot more if we just didn't have a test, or exam or anything, buuuuuut of course i still appreciate you regardless ;)

ahh :(
Well half way through this paper and guess what... my Internet does something crazy and decides it doesn't want to work... almost gave me a mini heart attack!! So now I am going to Finnish this none sense (research) and eat some leftover cookies. I believe I am suppressing my anger in food ...no good ohh well !! haha
William Golding
So I'm super happy with the author I picked. (: I found a ton of info on William Golding and I spent most of tonight looking at Essays and most of his works. So I still have a ton of work I need to get done. The Wuthering Heights project. I have a Spanish project. I also have to blog about Wuthering Heights and poetry and all that good stuff. Hmm. I have track regionals tomorrow so I'm just going to push things off until Saturday(:
Coffee......Check!
Well...
I guess I didn't realize how much work this part one was going to be.
I had my author picked and started doin some research and then I read Megan's post and I realized it would probably be a good idea to make sure there were some critical essays written about her.
Well...there were zero that I could find.
So I picked a more well known writer.
And I'm just getting ready to start.
And it's 9:32...
Which is.....2 minutes past my bed time.
I'm not usually very productive this late but I'm gonna do it.
I've got my coffee and I'm ready for a long night.
Wish me luck!

More Peer Review?
Is that what we are planning for tomorrow, more peer review on the bios that we are working on tonight? Or are we going to talk about Wuthering Heights? If we have to review each others papers than that is fine with me but other wise the reading assignment is so long for tomorrow. I have heard both so I am not completely sure who or what to believe.
I Give Up
I am so discouraged right now, I have looked up over 15 British Poets and have found zero critical essays on them, and I've tried looking under different searches like "Walter De La Mare Critical Essays" "Laurie Lee Critical Analysis" "T.S. Eliot Poetry Reviews" and "Edith Sitwell Deeper Meanings" and nothing just crappy websites that want me to pay to see these other essays! HELP STARHIA!!!! I am soo stuck, I thought I had a good author and I could only find two published essays online, I am convinced that this project is 100% impossible.
Not gonna happen
So I'm pretty sure that my author (a. a. milne, whinnie the pooh) did not have a significant role in that time period....so how am I supposed to do that part of checkpoint one?!?!?! I'm so stuck here, and extremely stressed out because I just realized that the Wuthering Heights project is due next week!!! What the crap really!! and thats our last full week of school, ok freak out moment!!!!
Lightening connection.
Storms seem to be a constant throughout literature. Lightening is used in Frankenstein, Wuthering Heights, and Jane Eyre. In Frankenstein, lightening was the inspiration for the creation of the monster. After Victor watched a storm he became fascinated with the concept of lightening and life. Then in Wuthering Heights and in Jane Eyre lightening destroys trees after momentous decisions. In Jane Eyre (I know no one else knows what I'm talking about but I'm going to make the connection anyway) the night after Jane agrees to marry Mr. Rochester, lightening strikes and destroys a great tree. Then in Wuthering Heights, after Catherine decides to marry Edgar a storm hits. Lightening "spilt a tree off at the corner of the building: a huge bough fell across the roof" (83). I think that the destruction of trees and storms is connected with the destruction that will eventually come from all the decisions.
Not Love... but luv
I thought of a good way to describe the feelings between Catherine and Heathcliff (well it makes sense to me anyway). They aren't close enough to be considered in love with eachother, its much shallower than that. I liked the word "luv" to describe it. It doesn't have as much depth as the full word, yet there are still strong feelings. I don't know, thought that was a clever way of putting it. Maybe not though... haha
Wuthering Heights and the Poems
In the the fourth stanza of the Darkling Thrush, we talked about how the bird's song caused happiness and joy to the man listening even though he did not know why. This can somewhat relate to Wuthering Heights because, like I said in my freewrite today, Catherine and Heathcliff are always drawn to eachother even though they do not know why. I think they were pre-destined to be together (making them soulmates).
In "Ah, Are You Digging on My Grave?", Thomas Hardy was speaking from a woman's point of veiw. Line 27 says "That one true heart was left behind!" she is saying how she has been forgotten and that her heart is no longer with her... I think this can relate to the point in Wuthering Heights when Heathcliff leaves. Catherine felt forgotten and that Heathcliff didn't care about her. I think she left her heart behind before entering into the marriage with Edgar.

Connection from Wuthering Heights to poems?
In The Darkling Thrush it talks about a singing bird and how the man doesn't get why the bird is singing because he only sees the bad in the world. The bird gives the man hope and optimism. Which is not present in Wuthering Heights. The part that I think is like Wuthering Heights is the dark and gloomy beginning.
In Ah, Are You Digging on MY Grave? the woman dies and finds out that everyone has forgotten about her. Even her dog. This is also not like Wuthering Heights because Catherine dies but her spirit remains to torment Heathcliff and she is not forgotten.

...im way to tired to be doing this
so yeah; im pretty sure stariha said to do a blog about how the poems we read in class related back to wuthering heights. and well, im gonna do my best... sorry if it doesnt fulfill your standards?
like in the poems i got this idea of like new beginnings in a sense, ya know? but i dont 100% see a connection with wuthering heights there.. is it just me? i feel if the poems were more about, i dont know... love and protection? hmm maybe im getting the wrong look at this book.
hmmmm shoot... im going to bed now
night y'all :)
My Brain Cant Even Come Up With A Witty Title Right Now
If I make it through this week it will be by the grace of God. I think I'm going to do my research paper on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Is that okay? Also we were supposed to blog about those poems and how they connect to the Heights I think. Let me just say......I have no idea but I'm going to try right now. So that's what's up.
Well, I really liked the one about the thrush. The diction was just impeccable I thought. But anyways.... I think maybe they connect because the man who was watching the thrush was dreary, and he looked at the thrush and I think he was jealous and confused. He was confused as to what reason the thrush had to be so happy, and jealous because he wanted to be happy too. The people in Wuthering Heights are only concerned with their own happiness. They are all selfish, spoiled and self-absorbed. They look at each other and think why are you so happy? what gives you the right? But rather than just observing the others happiness they have to act upon it. No one can be happy if they can not be happy themselves. There will be no hope giving thrush singing in the wind.

I call Dibs
So I was looking more into this Thomas Hardy guy and he seems like a cool guy to do my research project on. I was just going to do some random person that had some depressing life, but hardy actually had a fairly normally life with the exception of his love life, but that could happen to anyone. So I will see what I can through together for tomorrow. I promise Mrs. Stariha that it will be good because I can actually take some interest in this projects because Hardy is not a super boring author.

By this point in the year, I have completely lost focus in all of my classes. So I am concentrating all of my brain power (or whats left) to try and make it from 8:05 to 9:09 everyday. I am really starting to realize the true meaning of the word Wuthering. Procrastination has become the name of the game, unfortunately. Stupid projects...

Wuthering Heights
So I really need to stop missing school because it's gonna take a toll on me and now I have no idea bout that project and I still have to find an author and um yeah...I'm trying. Starting now I am slacker no more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111
Yay.
So I was suppose to see Ms. Stariha in TAG yesterday... and she never showed. I was going to talk to her about our Wuthering Heights project because I wont be in first hour today.. So if anyone wants to fill me in on the project, that would be great(:

You SUCK!!!
Boo to all you idiots! We are all paying (and by WE I mean the few of us that actually READ what we're SUPPOSE too) for you POOR decisions! I hate you all for SLACKING and making us suffer a terrible TEST (whoops did I say test? I meant quiz... which is basically the same thing if not HARDER in Brit Lit).
Sorry Ms. Stariha I know you said that we should stop complaining so much but you have to admit that my whining is appropriate. And this time I don't blame you for my suffering at all! It's about time you cracked down on those who have "better things*" to do. Hope you all have fun tonight as I pursue my "better things" and let you power through chapter by chapter until you reach what I accomplished over the past 2 weeks!
* By better things I assume you might be pursuing a "social life" on facebook, rotting your brains out on trashy TV, staring at your phone waiting for someone to text you, taking pictures of yourself, reading something else, "sleeping", thinking about yourself, or any combination of the above.
Take that Nerds!

i wish i lived alone...
here's why......
i'm trying to read wuthering heights..because i'm pretty far behind. like 5 chapters..
and i've only read like 20 pages in the last like...half hour because i can't concentrate..
my little sisters have barney turned up loud enough for my neighbors to hear,
my dad is doing the dishes and is making as much noise as he can...
my cat will not stop meowing...
ugh...
but anyway. i was reading in the beginning of the book and it said emily bronte didn't have formal education. which surprises me because she has a lot of big words..
or maybe it's just a really boring book so it makes it seem like she's smart?
i would HATE to live back in her time......sooooooo boring!
okay..i'm done complaining...at least for today.
Incest.. ?
So since we were talking about Heathcliff and Catherine's love, and the idea of them possibly being siblings, I started thinking about how seriously weird but kind of probable that is. If I had a brother and I could make an exact copy of him but put into the body of someone that isn't my brother, I think it would be kind of easy to fall in love with him. There would be so much in common! It is an extremely weird idea I know but definitely makes you think right? That's probably also why they had such an easy time marrying their cousins..
Revisiting Satire
Okay... so I know we haven't discussed satire since the 18th century... however, I found this cool Toby Keith (who I normally am not a fan of) video and had to share! American Ride Video
Incest
hmm...weird? I guess its not that weird because it seems that Heathcliff and Catherine are unaware of this conection? Maybe if Mr. Earnshaw was a little sneaker this wouldn't would be a problem because Heathcliff wouldn't exist
asdfghjkl
okay well I'm glad our papers are due today I guess because that's one less thing we are working on..as for Wuthering Heights I realllly need to catch up :( & just when I thought I found the author I wanted somebody told me that the author had to be british? huuuh? I don't know buuut, I just now also heard the first part of that is due Friday sooo....I guess it's brunch time? Haha..ha I meant to put 'crunch time' but I mean I really wouldn't mind some brunch either.

paper
Well im working on my paper right now and i looked up at the clock to realize it was 11 45 and i still haven't posted or gotten on the blog for this week, so here i am blogging now a couple min before midnight lol i like to cut it close haha
ok....whew!!
well i got a pretty huge golf tourney tommrow and idk why im up at this time of nihgt...oh yeah thats right!!!! REDOING MY ESSAY!!! so i worked on my essay yesterday from like 8 in the morning till like 1 in the afternoon..i went to work on my car and i gto back and the CPU had rebooted and didnt save my essay so ive been re-typing it since i got home from church at 9..so im done and now going to bed... i guess i can only blame myself...but i got it done and Mrs. Stariha is going to love it!!!
BAND CAMP STORY!!
This on time at band camp... there was a dead silence in the dawn of the summer morning. it was a ordinary day... or that is what it seemed like. everybody was inside the school getting their instruments for the morning drill. as i approached the school i heard one snare drum...ra-ta-ta-ta ra-ta-ta-ta ra-ta-ta-ta... when i walked in past the doors to the auditorium to the band room everyone was warming up. i want to go talk to my friend. when i got to him, he didn't say anything. it was strange but i thought he was having a bad day. we all soon started to go out side for drills. it wasn't a normal band camp morning. then it happened. as we were heading outside past the auditorium doors, the TUBA MONSTER came out from the darkness of the auditorium. he was seven feet tall and his four fingering valves were glowing red. he was eating everyone with his very large bell. i had no where to go. all hope was long gone. at that point i realized that i was next to be devoured by the musical beast. there was nothing i could do...
Paper
One down, one more to go. I am so happy to finally be done with the critical analysis paper... but then there is that research one looming down over my head. I guess just a second to breath then back to work. Oh well, only a few more weeks of school then freedom! I suppose it wouldn't be as sweet without ending with a paper that is bigger than all of the papers I have ever written in my life (haha just kidding but at the moment it feels life it.) All I can say is I better learn a lot and be an expert on my author be the end of this!
Wuthering Heights
Alright, so I am going to be honest; I am really having some issues getting into this book. Its hard because I cant get over the fact that we are just reading someones made up story... That this is just what someone from a long time ago came up with in their head? Yeah, I understand that it is good literature and all, but its still made up. Maybe if it was connected to this history more, or there was something clear that we should be learning from it?...
I don't know..
alright, I'm done complaining...
Now.

Critical Theory
As much as this CT paper has been a pain, I really enjoyed writing it. It kinda gave me a feel for a "deeper" sort of writing. Ya know, something that didn't just have an answer, but instead was the way you felt about something. Kind of expressing your feeling through writing, by way of literature?.. It also has made me look at literature more intensely as well, like as far as motives and intents behind it.. But to that I wonder if the writer has any of these intents at all? Or if our interpretations are completely off. I mean honestly Frankenstein could just be a poor attempt at a ghost story.
Just so you know...
Random Comment: I deleted my facebook account. I would post that on facebook but, since i don't have one anymore, I can't :) Since a lot of my friends are in brit lit, i decided to post it on here just in case they try to get on my facebook profile or something and they're stunned because it's not there lol. Anyway, i just finished the critical theory thingy which made me get behind in Wuthering Heights. And i just got the email that part one of the next project is due friday but Idk how I can even do part one if I don't know what it even is....so if someone wants to help me out on that so i don't fail, please feel free :)

paper
so, im writing this paper, and i hope i get a good grade on it, because ive put quite a bit of work on it, with wuthering heights on the other hand, i hate it, it makes no sense, and everytime i read it i have no idea what i read because i zone out like in the first few words i read, so my grade on the test might reflect that....
all nighter?!
so i may or may not be staying up all night because i have to finish doing my paper? haha but i for real need to get a good grade..because i want my grade to go up..not down. i want a fricken a so bad, like you guys don't even know. it's kinda weird, i'll be honest..but i really want one! so therefore..i am going to drink some coffee and turn on my writing music and do my absolute best on this, no slacking this time!
procrastinator=kendra
kendra=procrastinator
however you wanna put it..thats what i am. shoot.
Cheater!
...
So I took one last look at my paper.. There was some things that Ms. Stariha wanted me to take out. And I put them back in. I went with the Biographical. And I was told I have to much info on Mary's life to compare to Frankensteins.. Ugh. I like my paper how it is. I think it needs that information. I cant just compare their lives in like three points. So I guess you can say I'm taking a very big risk but I did change all the other things she had marked. And I did take out some of the information. Just not all the important stuff.
IDK MLA
So...I know that the header has to look like this: Bahena 1. But I am still confused on how we are supposed to site our paper when we are only using one reference (Frankenstein). I looked a Mrs. Stariha's example papers and that just confused me more because I didn't know if they had more than one work cited or not. So when we quote something is it (45) or (Shelley 45), and I wasn't sure if it is inside or outside the quotation marks either. Please help.
Hmmm
I don't know if I am supposed to email this paper to Stariha or just hand it in tomorrow?? I just don't know ! lol any preferences Stariha cause I'm going to end up just doing both but that could just end up being annoying! lol
Good thing is IM DONE WITH THIS PAPER!!! YAY
Good thing is IM DONE WITH THIS PAPER!!! YAY
Why Why WHY!
Why is it that on the day that I choose to re-write my Frankenstein paper, it is super duper nice outside?! It's sunny and at that temperature where it is breezy but not too cold, so in other words...basically perfect. And I am stuck at my computer with only a half re-done paper and the drill Sargent inside my head is telling me that I need to finish this paper pronto or else, but I am just stuck. Too bad that annoying drill Sargent doesn't have a friend who is really good at correcting essays.
Is there a Minimum?
Soo I am now citing my websites for this paper but I was just thinking is there a minimum number of websites? or am I just getting this paper confused with the next paper we are writing? ohh boy I'm confusing myself!

So...........
I can't believe we only have like three weeks of school left. :(
It's sooo sad. :(
Like I'll be glad that it's over but super sad because I don't want to be a senior and graduate.
But anyways...I will try and relate this to the class.
With hardly any school left, teachers are cramming.
We have a couple of projects coming up in this class and I'm starting to stress out.
There is going to be so much stuff to do in all classes.
And I don't even want to think of that "E" word. :S
EXAMS! :'(
Ugh!

Might sound weird...
My favorite part of Wuthering Heights so far is the part where Hindley comes home drunk out of his mind. I like it because of when he takes the baby from Nelly and drops it over the banister. For those of you who havent been reading the book Heathcliff catches the baby but this is the part i like; Hindley walks down the stairs and blames Nelly for not stopping him from dropping the baby, I thought it was just ridiculous and it made me laugh.
Test Results
I guess I was kind of disappointed with my test score, just because I always do fine on the essays (which are supposed to be the hard part) and stink on the multiple guess! Kind of frustrating because I can always eliminate at least 1 or 2 of the options, but still get quite a few wrong. I don't know if I over-think them or what... whatevs though, right?
