in the powerpoint for what to expect in the modern era it doesnt seem as percise as it was in earlier time... this time period and the last i feel like i dont have a good idea what the main strive or general goal of the time is but oh welll last section of the classs(:
Cara, I know you want to be able to tie it up in a bow and say one word that defines the era, like nature for the Romantic Period. This time period is a bit more complex because it was troubled by war. People were challenging control and overthrowing govenmental structure.
ReplyDeleteyeah we are talking about this era in american studies too so it kind of helps figure out what people are talking about and what there main concerns are, and it helps to relate as well because its more "modern" and easier to understand and relate to with the dialect and the english that is being used.
