Linton

Linton has become more complex in the last few chapters, he seems to try to trick catherine into loving him. He uses guilt in making his sicknesses into cathy's fault and seems to trick him into loving him. Linton is just a creeper he is not near normal at all.

  2. Yeah he's a little creep for doing that. I just don't like him. He is even worse than his father! I mean I understand why his father did that but still.

  3. Linton did it through selfishness because heathcliss treated him badly. If he could get cathy to fall in love and to marry him, then heathcliss would turn his attention on someone else. He would not be abused as much.

  4. Nice call Syd... but even though you can understand where Linton is coming from, it's hard to feel sorry for him. Heathcliff was the same for me in the first part of the book: I understood why he acted the way he did, but I had a hard time sympathizing with him because he was such a jerk.
