Linton :P
I'm not sure why but Linton (Isabella and Heathcliff's son) bugs the living crap out of me!! More than any other character in the book! Seriously, how selfish can you get?? I get that Heathcliff scared the crap out of him and threatened him and what not, but still couldn't he get his head out of his rear end long enough to realize that Cathy was the only one who genuinely cared about him and loved him? But no, he'd rather sit there and suck on his little sugar candy while Cathy was locked in a room with a tyrant forbidding her freedom. And when Cathy nudged the chair and he went into a tizzy about her "abusing" him, and she left and then he fell out of his chair and basically threw a hissy fit. Just to let all of you boys out there know, being a whiny little brat, is by no means the way to a girl's heart.
How could you "not be sure why"? He's a brat! He afraid of everyone and the only reason he "loves" Cathy is because shes kind enough (or stupid enough in my opinion) to pay any attention to him!
ReplyDeleteGot to be honest... I hate him too. Although I think about how he could have been different if he had been allowed to stay with Edgar after his mom died, and I feel kind of badly for him.
