So you know how we were talking about how Heathcliff is actually somewhat good deep down inside based on his first instincts?
Like when we were talking about how he caught Hareton when Hindlel dropped him off the balcony?
Well I found another example.
It's when Hindley and Isabella decide to lock him out for a few minutes and then he gets in and he and Hindley duke it out.
Hindley gets knocked out or hurt or something and Heathcliff automatically starts tending to him but then he was like: wait I don't have to do this, let the servants do this.
So I was just thinkin about that and decided to share that with you.
I keep thinking about it when I read all the nasty things Heathcliff does and I keep telling myself that maybe he isn't so bad but I just can't make myself believe it.
Heathcliff is just too evil.
This is quite ironic, because I just posted something about not liking him at all, did you guys discuss this on friday or something?
ReplyDeleteI still kind of like him. He's a terrible person and he vicitmises himself way to much (get over it right?) but I still hate like Isabella too. I guess I just hate everyone in this book. I sort of dont hate Joesph or Hareton, but I hate reading when they say things
