My Poem

Our economy is failin
We're in a recession
But what do we value?
Nothin' but possessions
We got drugs, alcohol, and money
And don't really care
Or put forth our best
This is not real rare
So what happened to education?
Technology has fried our brains
We sit on the couch
It's pretty insane
There's this new generation
Of cell phones and music
And we got a lot of drama
It's cuz of that Obama
So what should we do?
Now I'm askin' you
We're a new generation
Let's bring in change
To reach a destination
Come together, act as one
Our battle has just begun

The Rape of Lock

This reading was really weird. I really didn't like it at all. The whole thing was about a guy trying to cut a piece of a woman's hair. It was just not normal. The way Pope wrote the story I didn't get it at all. All the rhyming didn't help. It was a really boring story!!

Best day ever

today in class was probably one of easiest days we will have in this class, it was not stressful at all. Even though we read the rape of the lock. about that poem it was so hard to comprehend with the ryming and how it spoke. I had no clue it was about the man trying to cut off the womens lock of hair.

In the free world
we aspirt for riches in our livelihood
over run by drugs and violence
aboma has his time in office
in this new world full of pollution
and overpopulated by urbanization
we live our lives

The Lamb- Blake

I think The Lamb commented on how people of that time did not particularly focus on religion, rather, themselves. They started to get big headed because of science and started to iodolize science more than God. "Little Lamb, who made thee? Dost thou know who made thee?" is a line that particulary stuck out to me. It reminds humans that they are not all powerful and didn't accomplish everything by themselves. That was my interpretation on the poem so if you have any other opinions/ideas just comment.

Rappin' with some new tech

spending only half his check

getting money so quickly

On a computer there was much to be done
But losing his money was not one.
He was losing his lifes goal
When he found someone with a plan
Who said he could find the mole
So they hoped onto a computer
That picture on the desktop could not have been cuter
It was a dog blocking a cat from his bed
And he notice he had to go one step ahead.
He quickly hacked into the bank
And transferred his money to Fort Knox
The man he quickly did thank.
Then he caught the thief robbing the bank
And made him walk a stainless steal plank.
