I thought the sense of hope in the poem was really interesting. At first it didnt quite make sense to me but after we discussed it i had a better idea of what the poem was about. I also learned some new words like "thrush" (; I also liked how it dramatically changed moods from the beginning to end and the poet really captured the sense of hopelessness as well as the hope that one tiny simple thing in life can give a person.

Darkling Thrush
It is purely coincidence that i chose to blog about the same thing that manuel just did...
The Darkling Thrush
This poem was confusing but then after we talked about it in class it makes more sense. Its about the author who is all alone and sad but he finds hope in a bird and through the bird he finds hope. I like this poem.
wuthering heights movie and song
haha welll the song pretty much made my day .. except of how its sung .. that can change bc that lady reallly creeps me out but i guess it portrayed heathcliffs and catherines relationship..then the movie was so weird bc it started in the middle of the book and unless you read the book first you would have had no clue what was going on especially when it starts out with catherines hand smashing the window .. just goes to show you cant watch the movie to know the story
THE DARKLING THRUSH
so this poem was intresting and kinda confusing bc it starts out so alone and dark and just bc of a little bird the man is so hopeful and cheery .. sounds like he needs to go to the loony bin (: ahah but its cool how its like romantic in a way bc like it talked a lot about nature and how winter makes you feel so alone and stufff. and this poem relates to like heathcliff bc of how isolated and alone he feels
