So, Charlotte Bronte is Emily Bronte's sister. However, her book Jane Eyre, is a lot less morbid than Wuthering Heights. There's no abuse or evil gypsy men, only a mentally unstable, crazy lady hidden in the attic of Rochester's home! Jane Eyre is a lot more romantic, and quite interesting. The most interesting part of my research was once she published Jane Eyre. When Charlotte Bronte published her book it generated gossip because she published it anonymously. Some people speculated that it was written by a member of the Thackeray household. Charlotte Bronte didn't hear this gossip and dedicated the next edition to Thackeray himself. This caused scandal because Thackeray just happened to have a mentally unstable wife...which directly connected to the entire plot of Jane Eyre. Mr. Rochester's mentally unstable wife commits suicide and is most crazy.
However, this project is really killing me. I have procrastinated wayyy too much. Also, Ms. Stariha can you post your example? Please!!
This project is killing us all and I don't think it has anything to do with procrastination.
ReplyDeleteI know Ms. Stariha assigned the project as optional to help us but I think it really hurt me. I spent all weekend doing it instead of working on the paper. I don't even know where to start on the next section, like do we need an introduction paragraph? or do we just start?
